Beate Mordal is a light lyric coloratura soprano from Molde, Norway. She finished her education at the Royal Danish Opera Academy in Copenhagen, May 2015. The same year she sang her debut as Papagena in Die Zauberflöte by Mozart at the Royal Danish Opera. The following summer she worked for the festival of Aix-en-Provence with contemporary repertoire with the coaches Emmanuel Olivier and Hillary Summers. From that she was pointed out as one of the HSBC laureates from the academy, among other great artists such as Lise Davidsen, John Chest and Nicolas Royez. Beate toured with the opera “SVADBA” by Ana Sokolovic, as Lena in Angers and Nantes,16/17. In 2016 she made her debut as Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro at The Longborough Festival Opera where she returned for Pamina in Die Zauberflöte 2017. The same period she was also singing her Pamina debut in Norway for Opera Ostfold with conductor Magnus Loddgaard. She made another debut in 2016 – as Waldfogel in Wagners Siegfried with Odense Symphony Orchestra and conductor Alexander Vedernikov. And at the Paris Opera Competition in January 2017, she was one of the finalists at Theâtre Champs-Elysées.
